Fun on Friday

Here's my "Not new project" LOL Pieced with appliqued handle was the preferred vote, but looking back on the original antique, the handles were wide and chunky and I don't think I could have done a good job with that same look using applique. Hey, you never know, I may do another one that is pieced! LOL  The lighter blue and hand dyes were done in a class with Lori Triplett in Houston. You can see that post HERE- scroll down to see what I dyed and what I purchased in class.  Some of you asked if I would use pink for sashing, no, not on this one. My friend Phyliss passed along some of the indigoes to me some time ago. Thank you Phyliss!

Polly's Polka dot patterns are available on Gays website, Sentimental Stitches. Click HERE to find her terrific patterns!

Last Saturday I did a lecture and workshop for the Columbia Gorge Quilters. The ladies made great progress on their string quilts. Here is one block that Pam did. It is such a great design!

Denise made this fun Dresden! It was supposed to be placemats, but ended up a wallhanging. I love that green! Such a creative pattern!

I've had someone ask about doing the machine applique workshop again. Would anyone be interested in that class? For more information click HERE. You'll find a youtube video and written description about what to expect from class.

Have a great weekend!
