Quilt Shops in Hawaii

Good Morning friends! We are back from the magical Island of Hawaii! Had a really wonderful time. This was a trip overdue from the cancellation we had last year due to Covid.

We went to the big island and I found 2 lovely quilt shops.
This one was within 1/2mile of our condo.

If you read Quiltfolk, this shop was in the Hawaii issue!

Such a lovely variety of fabrics.

With plenty of room to browse safely!

I'm a reproduction girl through and through, but had to get this fun piece!!

If you haven't been following along on Instagram I've shared there about my trip. Find me HERE

Came home to find out my SIL is in the hospital with covid related pneumonia.  A dear church friend is being laid to rest today due to complications of covid. We are losing a generation to this virus! Take care, dear friends.

I'm off soon to get caught up on work.
Much love

  1. OH how lovely! I am so glad you got to go. Pretty piece of fabric that you brought back, too. I am so sorry covid is touching your life...it is so insidious and awful, if it hits you hard!

  2. My youngest daughter and her family had a trip to Hawaii canceled last year due to COVID and they just returned from that postponed trip, too. Glad you got to go and hope it was a wonderfully refreshing getaway!
That is a very fun commemorative fabric.
Our neighbor's two week old baby was hospitalized with COVID a couple of months ago. This isn't over yet, is it.

  3. Since Hawaii is a vacation spot, do the quilt shops have machines that you can use while there?

  6. Oh, I hope your SIL gets better quickly, and I am sorry about your friend. It's heartbreaking.
Looks like a wonderful vacation, especially with a quilt shop down the street! And what a wonderful shop...so bright and cheery.

  10. I went to this quilt shop a few years ago, and I agree that it is a great shop. I still have not used all of the fabrics I bought there. I would love to go back again some day.
