If you've been around for very long you know I did a challenge using an antique quilt block. Started in 2019 with 1 year to complete it.
You could use it whole, take out pieces, cut it, slice it, whatever! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in another challenge like that?
Here is my little quilt from last year.
You can see others HERE. There was so much creativity!
While I've been on the hunt for some missing string blocks I came across these antique blocks in my sewing room. I would offer you a block for the challenge if you didn't have one of your own. I think $5 would be reasonable to cover the cost and to ship it.
What do you think?
I ran it by my friend and she thought it was a good idea, now I'm running it by you all.
If you would like a block I'll let you choose 30's or 1890's-1910 or older. You choose the era, I'll chose the block.!
I'll accept paypal, venmo, cash or check.
email me! ldej@crestviewcable.com and we'll work it out!
Have an amazing weekend!
Fun! Love all the finishes from your last challenge -- all so different and beautiful. I'm definitely in for your next challenge and have my own block! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a block since last year! I have a couple candidates, but I'd love a block from you. Earlier date. I ll send you cash. How fun! Choose something good for me, can't wait.

I’m on holidays and I have some antique blocks at home ...
ReplyDeleteI’m thinking a little bit before making my decision !!
Thank you for this challenge Lori !
Love them 🥰
I'm up for the challenge and will need a block, preferably earlier date. Let me know if one is still available and I'll mail off a check. Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteI would love to participate. I have my own blocks. Now to choose one or several.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great idea. I have plenty of my own to choose from but I think $5.00 for an antique block is very fair. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun challenge last year! I look forward to seeing what people create this time :0)
ReplyDeleteI will need to check my closet. I think I have an antique block but it has been a long time. It does sound fun
ReplyDeleteI think this sounds like fun. I have some of my MIL's blocks that may not be antique but they look like they are from the 60's. I think I'll use one of them.
ReplyDeleteYes, I would love to do this! And I would live to buy a block1890- 1910, please!! Thanks for the generous offer and the fun idea! ♥️
ReplyDeleteFun! I think I have a few antique orphan blocks.

ReplyDeleteWould love to. 1890-1910.
ReplyDeleteI think I have some antique blocks somewhere. I’m in!
ReplyDeleteA number of years ago I bought a quilt at a yard sale that I loved so much I made a whole bunch of blocks to make a bed sized one for us. I have yet to set them with their alternate blocks, and have more than I need for my king sized bed quilt. If it is oK to use one of the odd ball ones from that collection of too many, then I'm in!
ReplyDeleteBy the way the blocks are all in 1800-1920's reprints.
ReplyDeleteHi, I’d like to get a block from you, this sounds like fun. I’d like a block from the 1800 era. Just send me the info to pay you. I can use Venmo. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteI had fun with the last antique block challenge so count me in : )
ReplyDeleteBTW thank you for doing these challenges
I would like to join in the challenge. I have several blocks to pick from. A good way to motivate me to use one instead of just hoarding it!
ReplyDeleteI also would love to buy a block from you
ReplyDeleteHello, I would like to buy you a block. Do you send to France? Thanks!
ReplyDeletePlease send me an email at ldej@crestviewcable.com
