Retreating Part 2

It has been a wonderful and productive week of sewing and deepening friendships!

Here's a little more sewing that took place.(check out Wednesday's post if you missed it! HERE)

I made a test block for the house quiltalong with Cecile. I wasn't sure I wanted to use my French General fabrics for this project, but after making this and leaving it out to look at for a day or two, I thought, YES, I do ! So here is block one. I think it measures about 5"x7"
I got a chance to work on my turkey challenge! LOL Can't share it yet.

Here's my fundraiser 15" square quilt for the VA Quilt Museum. Pattern by Cheri Payne

Michelle's Christmas Stars- pattern HERE

Michelle prepped all of the Folk Art Favorite quilt blocks for applique.

Carrie worked steadily on this Timeless Traditions quilt and only has a little applique to do in the sashing.

Another one of her cross stitches! I love these!

Thursday the weather was supposed to be spectacular, so instead of going into the shady canyon by the river I climbed up Cline Butte for views!

Old growth juniper trees.

Three Sisters- Faith, Hope and Charity.

Three Fingered Jack.

Our last night together and we made a fun video of our projects. Take a peek if you'd like!

Thank you to many of you who contacted me about the podcast. It is good to know you learned a few new things about me! If you want to listen go HERE.

  3. I enjoyed seeing the project photos, and then seeing them in the video. And I also enjoyed learning more about you during the podcast. I finally got to listen to it while taking my walk in the freezing cold yesterday. Kept my focus on something other than the cold. :)
