Uptown BOM+ Museum Quilts

It was a little dark when I finished this block last night. Uptown block 15.
Whoop! Whoop! I think we are closing in to the end!

Look at this adorable little dolly quilt that was at the New England Quilt Museum!

I like that it is a wee bit humble.

At first glance I'm never a fan of this style of quilt.....

But an upclose look changes my mind really fast!

I'll bid you adieu with this lovely couple!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I agree about not much loving Tile / Mosaic quilts, but the fabrics here are fascinating. Dolly quilt is lovely, a true miniature. I d love to see those corners on an antique doll bed.

  2. Your applique block looks good. It appears to be a very unique design to me (but we both know I am not well versed in applique).
That doll quilt is precious. An awful lot of work went into that. And I love the cutouts for the bedposts.
The thing that converted me to Mosaic quilts was seeing Wendy Reed's. So well done--it left me in awe.

  3. You are so dedicated getting your BOM blocks done, amazing. I absolutely love the mosaic quilt, wish I could see it up close in person. Is it appliqued on top of the fabric, I can't say I have seen one before. Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend.

  4. Yes, I also agree about the last quilt - but what a story it told.

  6. Beautiful quilts, and those fabrics! I am so glad many of those are reproduced again so we can enjoy those beauties too.
