Ohio's Miami Valley Quilts in the Museum (Photo heavy!)

Because I made this quilt in 2016 I was really looking forward to seeing the exhibit of Ohio's Miami Valley quilts at the International Quilt Museum!

Here is my finished quilt:

Karen Beigh and I did this one together and she was instrumental in designing our quilts!

These were the books we used.

Sue Cummings book does not have patterns but inspiration.

Anita Shackelford does have patterns in her booklet.

I don't have much to say about these quilts so I'll let you enjoy! They were really incredible!

Loved the quilting!

So doggone cute!

My favorite of the exhibit.

Love the hand quilting!

Laurie's favorite.

I feel extremely fortunate to be able to see these in person.

Have an amazing week!

  6. These are stunning. I started one when you made yours but found the lack of pattern/ block size beyond my then-abilities. Maybe i should revist the idea someday. Yours is beautiful.

  7. What a wonderful collection of quilts. This Friday I will be going to the quilt show in Walla Walla, and get to see what some of my old friends have made. Maybe next year I will have some in the show.

  9. I enjoyed seeing what you made in collaboration with Karen, and some of the vintage quilts that provided much of the inspiration.

  10. You and Laurie are in your happy place! I recently pulled out a bin that is filled with red, green, and cheddar that I accumulated while watching you and Karen create your beautiful Ohio inspired quilts.
