I loved them all!
Maybe the Carpenter's Wheel is a favorite.
Do you have a favorite?
PS My blog comments stopped coming to my email and I have several with no emails. If you asked a question I will reply at your comment on that specific blog post. (most of these were about Parsonsfield)
Oh my gosh! These are simply gorgeous, thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the Albany Lily quilt, probably because I admire applique so much and I'm on an indigo kick lately. I am currently making a pinwheel quilt using that pattern for a memory quilt of my husband's woven shirts. That border on the signature hexi quilt is mind boggling. I love everything about the Carpenter's Wheel, it is a favorite of mine to make as wedding gift. Thanks for sharing the quilts
ReplyDeleteI love the border with the birds in it. I'm going to have to make a quilt with birds in the border because they always stand out to me. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, that is a lot of eye candy. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese are just stunning! Love so many of them, especially the applique of course. And the hand quilting is fantastic. LOved seeing these today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the closeup pictures of these. I love looking at the quilting/stitching. a fabulous collection of pictures
ReplyDeleteOh, I love these vintage quilts. I scrolled through three or four times, trying to choose a favorite, but I kept changing my mind. Too many that I loved, like the first one, the Basket of Chips, and the Carpenter's Wheel, and..., you get the idea.
ReplyDeleteI love them all. I thought the quilting on the inner border of basket of chips was modern for that time period. All of them are beautiful in their own way. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful, but I think Albany Lily is my favorite. 💙
ReplyDeleteLove Love them all, It is so hard to pick a favorite, but the Scherenschnitte is a STUNNER!! Thank you for sharing. Those little birds are so fun. My head is spinning with ideas.
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful and intricate hand quilting on these is so impressive!
ReplyDeleteThe signature quilt with the applique border is my favorite - I LOVE the birds!! Happy Hands is a close second. Your close up photos of the quilting are marvellous - thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh my heart sings when I see antique quilts as lovely as these are. The first quilt made my heart jump out of my body. Oh, if only I had such quilting talent. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteInspiring. Thank you! Many are so pristine they look like new copies, imagine surviving so perfectly for hundreds of years. No wonder they are top dollar collectors' quilts.
