Here is a quilt I was able to finish last week at the quilt retreat!
The center block was an antique for the challenge I hosted.
When I was teaching in Idaho, Marsha B and I bartered! She made 2 very similar quilt tops and I ended up with this one! I really love it! Read about it and see her similar quilt HERE.
I had a lovely time away last week but boy we had some winter weather!
Thankfully we were cozy inside and busy sewing!
We have had a lot of treacherous freezing rain on top of that snow. It has been wild!
Have a great week!
We have had a wild week with frigid temps, high winds and snow but now abating and warming up...
ReplyDeleteImagine my surprise to see the little quilt top we bartered for on Facebook this morning! Glad you were able to finish it at your mini retreat. Great time for one with all of the snow we're getting!
ReplyDeleteThanks again! I love it!
DeleteYour quilt is just as charming as can be! What a great finish. Wow! That was a lot of snow. Obviously you made it home A-OK. It's been a frigid last couple of weeks here in the Midwest too. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI've never been snowed in at a Retreat. It doesn't sound fun. We've had some crazy weather here and I'm happy to stay home and sew. I also am enjoying more fuzzy slippers and blanket time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious finish for that antique quilt block. Absolutely love it! We have a snow sandwich here, snow, sleet, snow, freezing rain... a couple of layers of that! Thankfully it is melting, and avalanches occasionally slide off the roof with a crash. Dangerous for us to get out and walk out there with out some kind of support, since we live on a slope. Be careful out there my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beautiful winter wonderland. I am sure it was a lot of fun. Love the antique block. Excellent finish. Did you finish any more?
ReplyDeleteYes I did! I haven’t been able to photograph it properly because of the weather.
