We made our way to Hamilton MO to the Missouri Quilt Museum.
I'm not sure why, but we didn't have high hopes about it.
It was really wonderful adn I would recommend visiting to anyone who may be in the area.

ReplyDeleteI loved going there last year when we were at Birthday Bash. It's not on the Main Drag, worth the trip around the block.
ReplyDeleteA friend and I went to a quilt retreat in 2016 to MSQ. They did not have any museum at the time. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the amazing cache of the past they have collected since then! Thank you SO much for sharing. I retired to Dallas, OR in 2014 and love the history of quilts as much or more than the actual quilting. I am still working on the three quilts I started for grandsons at the retreat (lol). ReplyDeleteI heard a "meme" and think it is exactly appropriate regarding your possible reluctance to visit the museam ... "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" Corny but true in this case. I am trying to do MORE things for the first time just to see what happens. Thanks for the post and great photos.
ReplyDeleteThis brings back memories to our trip to Hamilton. I loved the museum too. It is amazing what happens in that little town since a quilter came to kick it alive.
