I put the final stitches in my liberated string quilt! I had it going for awhile thinking it would be a larger medallion but I couldn't add anything I liked.
I can use this for my quilt class "Bounty of Baskets" and "String Quilts Your Way"
If you can spread the word about me teaching or giving a trunk show to your guild I'd appreciate that. Thanks!
I'm a fan of French General fabric and I thought this was perfect to use my FG stash.
This is a bit wavy because I gently laid it in the snow (Our first accumulation and we are getting more) yesterday when I took this photo.
My retreat girls and I came up with the name- in English Basket of Flowers.
Love this cheater cloth for the backing.
I made a few more houses with my FG fabrics at retreat too. I need to take them all out and do a true count. They are so adorable in any combination.
I hope your week is going good. I had a little road trip yesterday that I'll share later.
Spread LOVE!
Oh that basket turned out beautifully! I love the strings you used but it's hard to go wrong with French General, isn't it? Great job and have you counted up your houses yet?
ReplyDeleteNo Road Trips for me today. How much do you charge for a Trunk show. We need to plan for next year at our guild.
ReplyDeleteLori preciosa cesta. ¡¡AbrĂgate!!
ReplyDeleteYour Panier de Fleurs is so lovely--I agree that French General fabrics just all live together so well...
ReplyDeleteYour houses are really adorable, too...Nice works, Lori Hugs, Julierose
Love the string basket and as previously mentioned, it’s hard to go wrong with French General fabrics.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful. Which pattern are you using for the houses?
ReplyDeleteI found it online. I don't have it at my fingertips at the moment. The next time I post houses I'll add that info.
DeleteOh, I do love how you finished off that basket, Lori. And what a great backing!
ReplyDeleteFrench General Fabric is always so appealing. It makes cute little houses, too.
LOVE your basket! Will need to try doing one of those!
