I have a top finished! Our retreat girls had a yearly challenge and since we were going to be all together at Sisters I did my "reveal" at that time.
Here's a little better photo
I was able to use Michelle Yeo's Bucklebury for the border.
The center toile was a fun surprise!
Okay, this quilt was the challenge! Exactly like it, or inspired, or.......
Here is my center! I love it! But it was a tad too big! Aargh! I went ahead and started getting the other blocks together until I realized I was going to have to pivot.
BTW, The 4.5" blocks were in my orphan drawer (Made by Linda!) So, I thought I would use them up instead of making more blocks.
I tried a few different centers and came across this cute toile while in Missouri a few short weeks ago.
I appliqued the center toile and then cut it square!
The border fabric is the fabric I have behind the toile. I wasn't feeling the love as a border though.
The quilt was assembled in a little different way. I had to keep a close eye on the directions.
It looks a whole lot different than Jo Morton's Peppermint Twist pattern but I'm happy with my version!
I wasn't even going to use pink- but now that I have, I'm calling mine Tickled Pink! I believe it measures about 44" square.
Have a great week!
Your little quilt is beautiful! What a great use of the toile center and I really love that border fabric!
