Mid April This and That

Jane Haworth was the guest speaker at the High Desert Quilt Guild. What charming quilts she makes!

I was able to get away on a nice Saturday and spend some time with my kids! We did an urban hike and this was the view!

I'm trying to get into backpacking fitness so I had a 15 pound pack on. Trying to keep up with the whippersnappers wasn't too difficult. LOL

 I love Portland in the spring with so many lovely blooms. 

Typical spring in Central Oregon. 60 degrees one day, snow the next! I get out to hike when I can. 

I had a lovely guild trip to the Village Quilters in San Diego. 

It was a smaller group, but so friendly and fun!

Show and tell is always fun but these ladies hardly gave me time to take a photo! 

They had a round robin reveal which was fun to see! They were all spectacular!

Lunch after guild is a time I really enjoy getting to know the ladies a bit better. 2nd on the right was my host Deborha. My flight didn't leave until 6PM so she graciously took  me to a couple of quilt shops. 

Grand Central Quilt & Stitch was adorable with lovely antiques and all the type of fabric I love. 

And Look! Eleanor Burns Quilt in a day! I had no idea it was located here!

It was a ware house full of SO much fabric! 

I think they do a lot of online orders. 

After Eleanor retired her son took it over. I love that!

My son happened to send me a text and ask what "dad and I are doing today" I responded- quilts, palm trees and sunshine in San Diego! Here is the photo I sent him. 

I'd love to visit your guild! I'd appreciate you passing my name to your programs person! I'll be in Walla Walla mid May for a quilt guild! If you are close by please come!

Spring in Central Oregon  brings chicks to the farm store! They are so cute!!

There is a little over 3 weeks to get your swap quilt completed. I hope you are on track! I'm hand quilting the last border, then will label it and bind. YAY!
