Here's my little Lockdown quilt.
I often make quilts to commemorate an event or period of time and this is it.
(after quilting, before binding)
I used basting spray so I did wash it when it was complete. By then it was dark, so I chose the next best place to photograph it.
At the beginning I called it "Stay Home, Save Lives" . But I've worked even more and not sure I've saved one life, so I've renamed it more appropriately.
Lockdown 2020
I had a little piece of this neighborhood fabric left and thought it was perfect! I even had to piece it, but you can hardly notice.
I had my label made and somehow I didn't move it and it had 2 lines of quilting on it before I noticed. I didn't think I'd be washing this little quilt much so I left it since it describes Lockdown perfectly!
Skewed, unorganized, but doing the job!
I heard 33 states are starting to open up- mine is not one! We've had very few deaths, thank goodness. Out of 2.4 million Oregonians only 2,680 had tested positive with 109 deaths.
I've seen many memes on facebook saying things shouldn't get back to normal. I'm not sure what that means. I'm looking forward to normal again.
On another note:
Saturday was to be my last training hike before going to Peru with my daughter. One end of this hike was at a state park, which is now closed. So I did an 11 miles out and back.
