My Favorite Quilt from Sisters Quilt Show

This should be no surprise that this was a favorite from the Sisters Show!

On another note, I've been a bit MIA on the blogging. Our summer weather has been really incredible. Summer is too short so I must enjoy the outdoors while I can.

Elsa may not be able to hike much but she likes to camp!

A little hike to 9050' on Mount Bachelor in Central Oregon. The three Sisters are in the distance. Their names are Faith, Hope and Charity.

It was a little steep in some areas!

Another friend and I made a hike near Mt Hood.

My daughter and I have been trying to "meet in the middle" for a couple of mental health hikes!

We have kept the camper on the truck so all we have to do is pack up some food and go!
I also found out that my lifetime senior America the Beautiful pass gets me some 1/2 price campsites! It's great to have a few benefits as we age!!

I rec'd a beautiful antique quilt for the charity fundraiser. I'll share that on Wednesday.

Let's have a great week!

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show 2025

This was the 50th year of the Sisters Outdoor show! Wow! It is still a great show all these years later!!

Here's a glimpse of the teacher's tent display.

By Tonye Phillips. Love the garden girls!

By Sujata Shaw

Sarah Fielke had an emergency at home (Australia) and couldn't leave. I hear they were creative and she was up in the middle of night via Zoom on a big screen to be there for her class. There were teachers that stepped in to teach in person but fun for the students who still got her teaching expertise.

The woman on the right (I'm so sorry! I don't recall your first name) recognized me from Humble Quilts. She and her friends had been retreating near Sisters the week prior to the show.

These ladies were so cute and they didn't mind when I ask if I could take their photo and share it on my blog!

I knew Diane was going to be at the show and happened to run into her and her new husband on main
street! They were doing a quick drive by version of visiting Oregon- their first time!  She is such a lovely woman and has quilted many of my quilts! Visit her HERE,

The crew back together after our February retreat.

If you've ever been on the fence about coming to the Sisters Show (always the 2nd weekend in July) I highly recommend it!

Let's have a fantastic week

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

I always like to go to the Stitchin' Post in Sisters Oregon the week before the big Outdoor Quilt Show. It is the 50th year! More info HERE. The date for the show is July 12.

Here are a few photos from around the shop.

The extent of their reproductions is Laundry Basket Quilts and Max and Louise.

Lots of yarn and patterns for knitting.

Prices at the Stichin' Post were pretty outrageous. They have always been the highest in any store I've been in. I'd love to know what your "regular" priced fabric is at your local quilt shop. (it seems more and more of them are closing though. So sad)

This was a cute little roll of 6 fabrics, but the tag didn't say what size the pieces are. I asked and it was 6 Fat Quarters!

Sew Kind of Wonderful had a lovely display and I'm sure they will be teaching next week. They had masses of fabric, patterns and rulers! This is the first time I've heard of them.
Classes start on Monday and go through Friday with the outdoor show on Saturday.

Will you be attending the show? I'll be there!

Faces by Freddy

I don't believe Freddy Moran was at the quilt show this year, (she certainly was last year!)

But these were in the teacher's tent all for sale! I belive they all sold.

These were so incredible (as is Freddy) that I wanted to share them all in one post!

I think this one is my fav!

Freddy made one face quilt a day for 54 days. At the end of the endeavor, she had a whole collection of faces to share. When she reached the 54th day, she decided to keep creating face quilts as long as they continue to inspire her.

I'm posting another fun Peruvian post on Friday!

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

The weather was lovely for another Sisters Outdoor Quilt show!

What I noticed this year was a lot of quilts with Kaffe fabric! (more than usual for sure)

In no particular order and unedited.

A beautiful antique quilt for sale.

Very detailed wool applique.

I believe the quilts hanging from the Stitchin' Post were the palatone color of the year.

Employee challenge quilts

This may have been a favorite for me.

A teacher quilt who was also an engineer- having fun with bias!

Cherrywood challenge quilts.

I'm inspired to get sewing........ right after I get back from the mountains! haha

I hope you are inspired!
