A Simple Monday Post

After the little doll quilt swap this spring, Wendy, The Constant Quilter, sent me a cute little kit to make this quilt, similar to the one she made her swap partner.

I finished the binding while out camping and thought I'd do a photo shoot. My kids were giving me a hard time about it!

It's a humble little quilt, but I love it!
What a great center!! Thank you Wendy!

  1. Adorable! I really love that little center block. With a quilt this size, many large scale prints could give a good block for a little medallion. You got me thinking now..... :)

  2. Very thoughtful of Wendy!
Simple is always so appealing to me. This is very sweet--reminds me of the AAQI quilt that was a joint effort between you and Kathie Holland that now hangs on my sewing room wall. In fact, it gives me an idea for a fabric I just brought home from my trip. : )

  4. It's just beautiful! It's fun to work on a little project to relieve the stresses of the day. I hope this gave you a bit of joy while dealing with the not so pleasant things of late. Thank you for sharing it with us. I HOPE to be sending some dresses to you by the end of the week. This summer has flown by!

  6. Kids are good for giving us a hard time. Mine complain that I have to be heading to a quilt show if I plan a trip anywhere. Cute little quilt. Glad she shared the Kit!

  10. Very sweet and scrappy! Why is it that they can takes endless pictures of their new coffee drink, but we get teased about taking pictures of our quilts? lol

  11. I have some of the fabric used for the center. I like looking at all the little squares and wondering how many of those fabrics I have. Always interesting to see different reproduction fabrics.

  14. Love it! That eagle center is great. Is the eagle printed on it? I have a scrap quilt waiting for me to come up with an eagle for its center but I am stuck.

  16. The last few days have been sorting sorting and rearranging in the sewing room. I dove into my "nickle/5 inch charm" box to prepare for a leader ender project from NIckle Quilts book and then some fabrics have been moved from here to there and finally some sewing on a small wall quilt for a Quilter's Night Out workshop I am teaching for my local bee. Shew!
