Sweet Land of Liberty Month 4

My blocks
Denise's blocks
Denise's blocks

This month should be relatively easy compared to last month! Good job for hanging in there!!

We will make 12 flying geese that measure 4 1/2"x2 1/2" unfinished. Feel free to use this method or your own. 4 economy blocks that that will be 4 1/2" unfinished and a 12 1/2" unfinished sawtooth star. Google that and you'll have no problem finding cutting measurements. I added 2 1/2" squares to the bottom of my block so I could sew the three blocks together. You may want to wait to do that- completely up to you.

For Lady Liberty you will cut your background 8 1/2"x 14 1/2".

Your pieced pineapple will measure 5 1/2 x 12 1/2 unfinished- before adding your border.
Border it with 1 1/2" strips and corner squares.
When complete your pineapple block will measure 7.5 x 14.5"
You can sew the three blocks together. Do not sew the flying geese or economy blocks together yet.

Whew! That should keep you busy for a little while.

  3. I'm still working on the vines but should be completely caught up this month. This is really fun. I added my picture to the Linky party but it didn't link to my blog. I must have done something wrong. If any one wants to see a couple of extra pictures it's wheresthedude@blogspot.com
