Buhl Bushong Update and Mardi Gras

 It is so hard to get a good photo of the long border. I tried outside but it was too breezy.  The lower one is the newest finish. 
I took this late last night so the color looks so weird. It really isn't pink! 


There will be a bud in the corner of this block. 


I'm in a local hiking group and we went out for a Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras hike!

    Your blocks and borders are looking great. Lots of work in the long borders - will be fabulous. It's hard to capture the true colors in photographs. Looks like it was a fun hike in the sunshine.

    Your quilt is going to be super fabulous! Love the colors, love the design. I'll be there's a hiking/walking group near me. Might need to look into that. Would be fun & motivating. The beads & masks were wonderful touches for a Fat Tuesday Hike!!!

    Oh my goodness - first the birds and now Buhl Bushong! Both quilts will be stunning!! The border flowers for Buhl Bushong are terrific. I always love how the parts and pieces come together in such unique ways.

    I was so surprised to see my name on this quilt that you're working on, went online to find out more about it, Turns out the original quilter has the same name as mine! Elizabeth Ann Bushong! Now I'm thinking maybe I should look into making my own replica of the Bushong/Buhl quilt! What fun! Yours is terrific

    I love the blue bird, looks exotic between all the red, yellow and orange. You had a joyfull mg hike. :-)
