Yay! I got a little bit of time this week to finish the applique on the center section and get it all sewn together!! I used some different muslin, which I love! It seems to antique the quilt from the get-go! Uhhh I'm hoping the burn mark makes it looks aged too!!! Aargh!
Here's my helpers!
It has been ages since I've been sick so this is no surprise. For a short time the Red Cross is doing a Covid antibody test when you donate blood. For those that test positive for the antibody, you can donate plasma to help those suffering from covid.
I'm going to look for huckleberries today! Yum!
Have a terrific day!
Woohoo! It is lovely! I love the different muslins too.
ReplyDeleteLove your finish! It has been fun watching this come together. Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteYeah on both. Didnt know you had the test done.
ReplyDeleteHope you find lots.

Spectacular quilt. Wow!!
ReplyDeleteYay! It looks wonderful!! It will be even better when you get your borders attached.
ReplyDeleteSomething happened and I'm starting over on this comment. Awesome quilt! We went huckleberry hunting and picking back near Mt. Hood back when my MIL was alive and living in Gresham. We made a yummy pie, I believe. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteI do think the different muslins are a nice additional "aging" factor. I can't imagine how exciting it must be to have come this far!
ReplyDeleteOh, my aunt used to make the best huckleberry jam, but they are a lot of work to pick. Hope you were successful!
Beautiful! I love how the applique flowers meet at the corners. They create extra interest. I looked hard but couldn't see a burned spot. What kind of muslin did you use that you love?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Quilt! I’ve never tasted a huckleberry!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking quilt center. Cute doggos as usual. That's good of the Red Cross to do. I keep thinking/hoping I've had it and didn't realize it, but I know that's unlikely.
ReplyDeletebeautiful center of your Buhl Lori. Love the different shades of green you used.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It’s beautiful. You should be proud
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty muslin, soft warm color. Would love to know what it is.
ReplyDeleteTa-da! is right! That's a lot of time and effort right there.:)
ReplyDeleteLori, this has a VERY vintage look to it. Beautiful! Judy
ReplyDeleteMother used to spread a sheet under the huckleberry bushes to help catch any run-aways! One time hubby and I went picking where she used to pick, dumping into what I call trays... the cardboard boxes from the grocery store that have the tops cut off, leaving a couple of inches of cardboard up the sides. That way the bottom ones would not get squished so bad. We got over 45 pounds of huckleberries that camp trip! That was decades ago. Wonderful time, delicious jam and pies, and...
