Monday Musings, Incredible Coast

We had a little getaway to the Oregon coast this past weekend,

Every time I saw this sign I chuckled inside. I am a "sewer" but I didn't take a sewing test! LOL

Tillamook is known for their County quilt block trail. I snapped a few photos of the ones I could easily (lol, or not so easily!)  photograph

And the weather was warmer than it had been all week! Not quite sure what Zack is doing- having fun for sure!

Garibaldi Marina
Love the blue boats and blue sky!

We cannot grow hydrangeas in Central Oregon but they are so beautiful! I always stop and get a closer look.

These were in bloom all over! Stunning! I have no clue what kind of flower they are.

Beautiful "Three Arch Rocks" on the beach near where we stayed.

2 nights and 2 beautiful sunsets!

Lets have a great week!

  1. Such lovely photos! It's interesting to find those quilt block trails in various parts of the country. There is a small one here in my SD community.

  2. There is also a quilt trail in Traverse City, MI on the peninsula. They are mostly on barns. I love sunset pictures!

  3. The red flowers look like crocosmia 'Lucifer'. Easy to grow, hummingbirds love them but so do the deer.

  8. The sunsets on the west coast are so beautiful. It reminds me of the time I spent in Del Mar.

  9. Tillamook is a unique town but can be odiferous at times. The red flower (crocosmia) grows from a bulb and mind have done well after being sent to me by a friend.

  11. What a nice getaway. Looks like Zach was making a sand angel instead of the snow angel I'm used to seeing. Btw, I loved both of your patriotic videos. Thank you for sharing those too!
