I feel like I've been missing in action in blog land. I'm trying to squeak out as much summer fun as I can while the weather is still great!
After 4 days away in the mountains I arrived home to this lovely parcel of sampler fabrics from Two Thimbles Quilt Shop.
The fabric sampler this month is lovely and not from a specific line of fabric.
Lee is in a bit of transition closing the brick and mortar store (boohoo!) and waiting for shipments of new fabric. I'm very pleased with the fabric I received. This is where we backpacked to last Tuesday. This is Lake Stuart in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth, Wa.
Early morning stillness.
Land that I love!
We woke to smoky skies and we ended up hiking out a day early, but this was still so beautiful.
Friendship and fun!
I hope your week is going good.
What gorgeous scenery! I can understand why you enjoy hiking so much. Thanks for sharing - so those of us who will never get there can get a glimpse.
ReplyDeleteThe sewing can wait. This land is your land and boy! oh boy! is it beautiful! Enjoy while you can.
ReplyDeleteTerrific photos of your hike. This is a beautiful area
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to learn that Two Thimbles is closing. It was always a destination whenever I visit the northwest. I wonder if The Cotton Ball in Starwood is still open. I haven’t been there in a few years either. Dang this Covid! Online is ok, but there’s nothing like the euphoria of walking into a good quilt shop. Your photos are stunning!
ReplyDeleteA nice variety of fabrics in your sampler. I am sorry to hear they are closing. I had heard good things about that shop. With a niece in Bellingham, I had hoped maybe I would get to visit her and the shop one day.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful area you visited. Your photos are wonderful!
Pretty! You will have to plan a scrappy pieced quilt project for all these special monthly arrivals.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place! I enjoy seeing your adventures.
ReplyDeleteLove the orange or cheddar fabric. You are quite right to get the most out of the summer stay healthy is important. We will be locked up in wintertime and then quilting is very welcome. Love the scenery.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are breathtaking. Thank you for sharing. The fabrics are lovely too.
