Carrefour - The European Quilt Show

Down to just about 2 months before the amazing trip to Europe and  this quilt show!

Among the world’s top 3 textile arts events, the European Patchwork Meeting offers a wide variety of textile artworks every year from patchwork to embroidery, mixed media, dyeing, crochet and lace: all forms of textile art come together for 4 days of frenzy.

Considered as the cradle of the Amish community, the villages of the Val d’Argent (Alsace) open their most beautiful venues and welcome an unforgettable festival of colors and materials, with each year more than 30 exhibitions of international artists.

The shopping area with more than 4,500 square meters of specialized booths full of supplies, new ideas, and materials presents the latest trends and products from the thread world. And to put the artists’ techniques into practice, there’s nothing better than the workshops and seminars offered each year by renowned teachers.

Over 1.000 works of art, 1 shopping area and more than 20 classes: the European Patchwork Meeting is the annual meeting for all thread lovers.

The quilt show is held in quaint villages!

Will you be there?

The Alsace region in France is the only place in France we will be. (All my prayers for the horrific fire in France!) We are flying into Basel and after the quilt show we will take the train to Germany!
It should be amazing!
Climbed a mountain last week... This photo shows the "youngsters" on the plateau before hitting the big uphill to South Sister.

It was tough, but we made it! The summit is the 3rd highest peak in Oregon at 10, 358'

Fires all around us in Oregon. Hopefully we will start managing our forests better while we still have them! At this point we are safe and do not see any big storms in the forecast. Praying for everyone on the front line of these fires, including farmers and ranchers!

Love to you all
