Liberty Eagle Completed!

Yay! Finally finished with my eagle quilt!

I did some simple meandering and outlining.

I was able to get this lady liberty in an extra wide  and it is so pretty!

Another one in different lighting.

The pattern is from Jan Patek. I reduced the size of the blocks and used an eagle from Electric Quilt. It measures approx 47"x67" and the blocks measure about 9 1/4" finished.

Next Monday we are heading to Washington DC to be tourists! So, I'd say I finished this at the right time! I'm hoping to see some of the special America 250 exhibits and memorials.

I have a simple eagle I want to applique for a small quilt. Maybe I can get it ready to work on as we travel to DC.

Have a lovely weekend, sweet friends.

Northwest Quilters, Inc

Next Monday I will be presenting
Glory Bee! Patriotic Quilts from my Collection
I have loved patriotic quilts and patriotic colorways since I took my first quilt class! I love history as well and these two loves go hand in hand.

I will be at Northwest Quilters, Inc  Monday, March 9, 2026, at 9:30 am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7810 SE 15th Ave, Portland, Oregon.

Most guilds have a small charge for guests but if you will be close by please stop in and be sure to say HI!

Here is a Youtube video I did 4 years ago before having an official trunk show for guilds.

I am sure hoping this laryngitis I have is gone before Monday! We have a quick little getaway planned for the next few days and I am going to try and preserve my voice!!

PS- The annual Humble quilt swap will be announced soon!

I'd Love to Visit Your Quilt Guild: Glory Be!

As the USA celebrates 250th year of the signing of the Declaration of Independence I'm excited to share this trunk show in a couple of weeks!

Glory Bee! Patriotic Quilts from my Collection
I have loved patriotic quilts and patriotic colorways since I took my first quilt class! I love history as well and these two loves go hand in hand.  I hope my lecture will inspire you to start your own collection of  Americana quilts!

The large one is in the Smithsonian, so I won't be bringing that one! lol

I do hope to make a little progress on my 250 year eagle quilt and bring it for inspiration.

I'd love to visit your guild with a trunk show, workshop, in person or online!
