2026 Swap Quilt Linky Party

Came home from Washington to find this treasure safe and sound inside!

Cherie Moore created this amazing eagle quilt! I can't wait to find the perfect place for it!

Look at this gorgeous backing! Almost too pretty to hide!!

And she included this lovely 250th year panel by Stonehenge! Thank you so much Cherie!

This antique was my inspiration for the quilt I made Doreen.

The quilt I made for Doreen.

Time to share your swap quilt! YAY!

We will post the quilt you received.

Please try and take a straight on photo so we can see them better online.

You can add a photo from your blog, from your desktop or instagram.

If you cannot figure out how to add your received quilt feel free to send me a photo at humblequilts@gmail.com and I'll post it.

Thank you to everyone who sewed and swapped!

My little quilt is winging its way to its new home! I see many others are zig zagging the US and the world right now!

Just wanted to remind you that May 9th is the deadline to have your quilt in the mail! If it is heading overseas I hope you will get it mailed sooner than later.

The quilts I've seen have been wonderful!

Have a lovely weekend!

2026 Humble Quilt Swap CLOSED

 CLOSED with 42 swappers!

The past several years I've hosted a doll size quilt swap and they have been resounding successes! Time for our 13th Annual Humble Quilts Doll Quilt Swap 2026.

Please continue reading for all the rules. As the number of participants continues to grow, please read everything before asking questions.

Please take the time to create a quilt that you would be happy to receive yourself. The due date for your small quilt to be in the mail is May 9. Names will be sent out by March 24, which will give you almost seven weeks to complete your quilt.

If you cannot meet the deadline, please do not sign up to participate. At the same time, please take your time and don’t rush through it—make it meaningful for your partner.

Fabric: 1775-1910 is a wide span of time but that is what we are looking for. Look HERE if you are unsure what reproduction fabric is.

We are not using 1920's-Current
Not primitive style, like Jan Patek, or cutesy like some of Primitive Gatherings or Joined at the Hip. (which I love, just not for this swap)
We want the quilt to look like it time traveled from days past.

  • Hand or machine quilting is fine. Quilted with a few ties is fine. Ties only is not.(please no yarn)
  • No pre-printed panels
  • Please attach a label and add a note with your email so the recipient knows who to thank. Many people send me a message asking for the email. PLEASE include your email!
  • Thank the person who sent you a quilt. Let them know the quilt arrived!
  • If the workmanship is very poor and it looks like it was done very unthoughtfully I want to know and I'd like to see photos.
  • There is no need to send extras and please do not feel pressure. Some people are on a tight budget but  we still want them to play!
  • We will have a linky party so we will be able to see all the little quilts!

  • 24" x 24" or smaller. (It doesn't have to be square), Civil War reproductions, a label, with a deadline of mailing by May 9th.   Please no smaller then 12"x12" .

If you cannot mail international for financial reasons please let me know. You do not have to leave that info in the comments, you can email me.  In previous years I let you not mail international for any reason, but I'm changing that. It is the same people willing to send international doing it over and over.  If you just don't want to send overseas because going to the post office is a hassle, then please join another swap.

If you are interested in joining please send me your full name, mailing address and if you  cannot send international to humblequilts@gmail.com

Even if you were in a past swap, please send me the pertinent info.
I'll take signups through - March 20th,  Midnight PST

I know Linda (Quilts in the Barn) has just completed their little quilt swap, no need to apologize for not being involved in this one. It isn't a competition! It's for fun and camaraderie.

If I do not know you, if you have never commented on my blog or

we've never emailed than I may not allow you to join. Don't take

     it personal.

It isn't a race (although there is a deadline) there is no reason to rush and do a crappy job.

This type of workmanship is not acceptable.  It doesn't have to be perfect

So many of my points do not match, but I do know how to attach a binding and basic quilt construction. Have fun and enjoy the process!
